“The Rollin’ 60s & 70s”
The 2006 MAPSA Year End Special held at Hotel Flamingo on Saturday, 2nd December was a great success. We received positive response from members and guests who attended the event.
Most of the members and guests enjoyed themselves very much especially the Line Dancing led by Jenny Wong and her guests with the hit from Saturday Night Fever - STAYIN ALIVE by the Bee Gees. Members and guests were dancing away with the Twist, Cha Cha and Rock n Roll the whole afternoon. Life members requested for hotter music beat. Almost everyone was dancing, shaking and jumping with the beat. We know for sure that all of them had a great time and also enjoyed the Hi-Tea Spread. The Spot Dancing was fun. 10 prizes were thrown to dance couples who were able to spotlight when the music stopped.
Members were so enthusiastic in dancing that they requested MAPSA to organize dance class. Perhaps, our President, Jenny Wong cam arrange to have her dancing buddies conduct dance class at Rumah MAPSA at a cost.
Members Ng Mei Fong won the Best Dressed and Janice Yong & Partner danced away with the Best Dancing Couple. Of course, MAPSA traditional gift exchanged was participated by members.
It was a really enjoyable and a memorable day for those who attended. We will continue organizing more great events for supportive MAPSA members.
